Easy 5 Ingredient Vegan Chocolate Ice Cream

Only 5 ingredients stand between you and some delicious creamy (almost raw) vegan ice cream: Cashew nuts, cacao powder, vanilla extract and maple and agave syrups (vegan chocolate chips optional.) Even a picky 7-year old will love it. Enjoy!

p.s. The ice cream is 90% raw because maple syrup is typically processed with heat above 115F degrees.

This is why she calls it a Raw Vegan ice-cream meaning no animal products.

Also meaning that it is a healthy substitute for ice-cream, because animal products are unhealthy.

    Um, this isn’t …
Um, this isn’t really ice cream, it’s a frozen desert but there is no cream added to it, so it cannot be a “cream”.

Ice cream contains a minimum 10% milk fat per volume, this seems to have more of a recipe toward a gelato.

Almonds will taste good but cashews work best because they’re slightly sweeter and have a higher fat content (and no skin although you could peel your almonds.) Macadamias are a good substitute.

I use the Ktec Champ HP3 blender. The Vita-Mix Countertop Blender with 2+ HP Motor is good too.
The ice cream maker is the Panasonic BH-941P Ice Cream Maker. It’s very easy to use and compact. Just don’t put too much “batter” in it because then it won’t freeze sufficiently.
    Good luck! :)
