Dieting: What do you think of this homemade smoothie recipe?


Alright, I’m going on a diet, just to drop a couple of pounds, so don’t worry. And I originally was going to purchase Slim Fast shakes, but apparently there was a recall. So I decided to make a smoothie at home. I just made up a random recipe, here it is:
2 bananas
2 handfuls of raspberries
1 scoop low fat plain ice cream
cap full of vanilla extract
and a splash of milk

Is this good for a diet?
What can I do to make it more healthy?
Any other healthy smoothie recipes that you suggest?

1 banana
scoop of protein powder
8 ounces of fat free milk.

you should also be eating other food, don’t just drink those shakes.

don’t think of it as a diet, what works is changing your eating habits. Doing weird diets for a short amount of time never works because you aren’t changing the way you eat, you are just doing something temporary.

educate yourself on healthy eating count your calories and exercise. And I guarantee you will lose weight.

    Remove the ice cream and just use regular ice or frozen berries. If you really really really want the dairy, use non fat, plain yogurt.

    You could use yogurt instead of ice cream, I think it’s healthier. Also, using a little orange juice instead of milk will add some more nutrients and flavor.

    You can pretty much combine any sort of fruit with yogurt and orange juice for a nice smoothie.

    It’s a good mix just try to use all fresh fruits but maybe not ice cream try low fat yogurt
