I started my low-carbohydrate diet and splurged on ice cream today. Is this okay, or have I sabotaged everything?

as long as you’ve been moderate otherwise, who cares, live a little! In the fute, get frozen yogurt. It tastes SO much better and is pretty much guilt free. Just don’t totally deprive yourself or you’ll splurge all the time.

Ate ice cream on a diet ..?

I’m 5 foot 6, 116 pounds and planning to lose the last 4 pounds. (Lost 20 pounds in total)
And Im doing it slowly and steadily, I have until summer anyway (thats when I’ll proper show off my body)
I do 50 minutes of exercise per day and eat heathily and drink lots of water
However today, on this occasion, I had some ice cream, and cant help feeling very guilty.
Is this okay on a diet to treat yourself?

You shouldn’t feel guilty. Having the occasional treat on a diet is fine. In fact, it’s actually a good idea, as you’re less likely to feel deprived and end up craving it even more, eventually leading to binging. As long as you’re generally eating healthily, the odd treat will do you no harm whatsoever. X

I’m starting a new diet next week, and I’m looking forward to it. My only downfall is I love ice cream.

Does anyone have any good ideas on a healthy replacement for ice cream? I’ve considered sorbets or maybe a tofu alternative, but I’d appreciate some creative ideas.

Thanks so much in advance!

Frozen yogurt? I think that’s a bit healthier than ice cream.

How about getting one of those ice pop trays and freezing juices to make your own healthy popsicles?

These days I suspect there is also healthy ice creams out there….

Im on a pretty healthy high protein high fiber diet and im workin out and stuff i was wondering id weight watchers ice cream is actually healthy and has as few calories as they claim and when should i eat it during the day. (Weight watchers cone fudge ice cream)

It’s not "good" for you, but "less bad", and should still be considered a special treat when you feel you want one - not something you should be trying to include in your daily diet. Eat it at what ever time of the day you want that special treat. Also make sure to enjoy it in the portion size they state on the container - so get out the measuring cups/spoons/scale to be sure.

why hasnt anyone made diet ice cream?you know with 0 calories 0 fat :) that be wonderful.

Well there are various "Weight Watcher’s" ice creams and "Dryer’s Slow Churned" ice creams with half the fat and calories. But it would be great if they could produce something like that. People have probably attempted it, but I doubt it tastes any good.
