Okay, so I used to be a top notch track athlete about 3 months ago haha.

In the past 3 months has reversed everything i've been training to do in the last 5 years. I haven't really had motivation to get back into shape since im no longer on the track team.

But lately i've been feeling ashamed of myself cuz im a waist 32, that could fit into 30. But now im struggling in the 32, reaching for 34. My diet has been like no fruits and vegetables, no exercising, I walk alot and average about 2 pints of ice cream a day. horrible i know.

So now looking at how disgusting my body has become, i now i can reverse this. i dont really like to eat fruits and veges but i would drink them when i blend them up into a shake/drink.

Can anyone give me any advice and recipes on tasty fruits/vegetable shakes/drinks that provides me with my total daily nutrition?

I'm 5'11. 19. 190lbs. male. Also should intake 2 - 2.5K Calories a day?

Exercise is my strong point, nutrition isn't.
SO I GUESS WHAT IM REALLY LOOKING FOR IS SOMEONE TO SHARE WITH ME SOME VERY TASTY DETAILED RECIPES FOR FRUIT AND VEGETABLE DRINKS! THAT I CAN MAKE USING MY BLENDER.

IM A COLLEGE STUDENT, SO TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE! JUST NEED SOMETHING THAT IS A QUICK FIX.

That's a lot of icecream!
Cuting that out alone should make a great difference.

I thought about trying to incorporate more fruits into my diet by making them into smoothies, so off I went to google some healthy smoothie recipes. I found out that most smoothies call for ice cream, cream, or sugar. How is this healthy? So I thought I’d just mix a bunch of fruit together, add ice, and blend to see how that turned out. YUCK. I threw a banana in there, but it ended up tasting really bad, with a nasty texture. I threw it out. Is there really such a thing as a HEALTHY good tasting smoothie, or am I dreaming?

Use low fat yogurt instead of the ice cream. Include some skim milk. Then choose the fruits you want. I think that will improve the flavor and it will be healthy and nutritious. I also sometimes add a drop of vanilla flavoring, and I freeze the fruit instead of using ice cubes.

Does anyone have tasty snack suggestions. Anything that is healthier than chips, chocolate, ice cream, donuts, etc…
If it's a recipe or something you buy at the store, any tips I'd appreciate. But please make sure it's real tasty! I don't mind eating veggies and fruits and I do like them. That's not exactly what I'm talking about though.. Thanx in advance!!!

bruschetta is good….take some bagels and top them with sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, then pop them in the oven (350) for a few minutes.

they are tasty and good for you and they let you chew something for a while.

have a nice day!

I'm a Chinese and I used to have milk, yoghurt, toast + butter for breakfast. Now I have to change quite dramatically from western diet back to traditional Chinese one!

To have congee, rice noodle to start my day and stay away from ice-cream and any sweet / desserts! It's going to kill me!

Who can give me some good advices or recipes / simple and healthy for each morning. I work 6 days a week. Thank you in advance.

I'm gluten intolerant, but for me congee and so on for breakfast is just right! I'm not Chinese, but I love to eat Asian and Oriental food. I quite often have congee for breakfast.

I don't know if you agree, but I find rice is much more appetising if you put quite a lot of chilli with it. I also like the fine rice noodles used for Singapore noodles in Chinese restaurants. They are quite different tasting to rice.

Otherwise, if you don't like porridge (it's nice in Winter), you could use the oats instead to make a sort of muesli type breakfast with raisins and chopped nuts. You could mix it with rice milk or fruit juice and slice an apple or banana into it.

The only other thing I can think of is to start the day with a good mixed fruit salad. You would need to have a banana in there somewhere, I think, to help you feel that you have eaten enough.

Hope this helps.

Today Matthew decided to try his hand at ice cream making with Mom. A tropical fruit yogurt ice cream recipe was chosen from the Healthy Cooking for Kids recipe box. With only very minor trauma he and Mom successfully completed the delicious ice cream. We’re still shaking our heads at that and not really sure how a butter knife with no edge at all managed to give him a “paper cut”. Oh Well…Enjoy…Oh by the way this video is best served in High Quality.
Every thing’s better in High Quality! Refrigeration not required.

Does anyone know any smoothie recipes without ice cream in it? I want to make one with the kids to help them improve their healthy life styles.

*Strawberry Smoothie:
Makes 8 servings
Essential Equipment: Blender
Ingredients:
*4 cups strawberries
*2 cups milk
*4 containers strawberry yogurt
Directions:
1. Reserve 4 strawberries for the garnish. Cut out the hull. 'or "cap", from the remaining strawberries w/ the point of a paring knife.
2. Place the strawberries, milk, and yogurt in a blender. Cover and blend on high speed for 30 seconds or until it's smooth.
3. Pour mixtures into glasses. Garnish each with a strawberry
(Add sugar until it's sweet enough for you)

*Hope This Helps*

that are good for breakfast lunch and dinner?
and also snacks.
i find my self thinking of something unhealthy to eat as a snack and its ice cream.and i want to be healthy.on the outside i might look like im healthy but i dont feel like i am.and i dont want to starve myself.im 12 and i want something easy to make.i have this new rutien[idk how to spell it] and its like this:
wake up and eat breakfast, then excersize and workout for 1 hour.i seem to get tired easily.and totay for breakfast i only ate a mango and peach and it filled me up for and hour.and now i feel down and hungry and i'll eat right now but im worried i'll eat the wrong thing.
help please!

Breakfast should be your biggest meal of the day. If you want to stay energetic and full longer then eat a high protein breakfast like eggs, cheese, peanut butter and eat complex carbohydrates like whole grain cereals and breads. Fruit is good also. You can eat a small snack in between meals also to keep your metabolism up. (the rate your body burns off calories) Hope I helped.
